Migdal Ohr means tower of light in Hebrew and is one of Israel’s largest nonprofits. With support from donors like you, we raise Israel’s most vulnerable youth to become thriving, successful adults.
Every child deserves a safe place to call home. No child should ever wonder where their next meal will come from.
Your generosity enables us to provide over 10,000 children with housing, food, clothing, dental and medical care, therapy, and personal necessities. These are the foundation of a new beginning and a better future.
Children deserve a quality education surrounded by encouraging adults who can guide them as they get older.
Donors like you enable dozens of educational and enrichment programs through Migdal Ohr. Our focus on mentorship, vocational training, and guidance counseling helps kids from the most challenging backgrounds rise above their circumstances.
For a child lost in the world, finding their purpose can seem impossible. What do they have to contribute to society that is unique and meaningful?
Your contribution funds leadership development and on-going mentorship that set our students up for success as adults. Our students graduate motivated to give back to society and play an active role in their communities.

A LETTER FROM A
My name is Ilan and I am in the 7th grade.
At the start of the new year, I need your support.
When I was 9, my mother left my brother and I. We were devastated and felt like we would never have a normal childhood.
Today, we live at Migdal Ohr without our parents but our friends and teachers have become our family.
Thanks to you, I now have a warm bed, dorm parents, friends, and I get to play soccer.
Rabbi Grossman says, “What was, was. The most important thing is to start anew.”
Because of him, and people like you, I can now have a fresh start.
Thank you for caring about me and making sure that I have a bright future.
Migdal Ohr means tower of light in Hebrew and is one of Israel’s largest nonprofits. We have raised over 15,000 of Israel’s most vulnerable youth to become thriving, successful adults. We give children the support and education they lack to overcome socio-economic barriers and realize their full potential.
Migdal Ohr was established in 1972 by Israel Prize Winner Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid Grossman to ensure that each of Israel’s orphaned, abused, and neglected children would have a bright future, regardless of where they came from. Decades later, we are just as fervently committed to the mission and dedicated to strengthening Israel’s next generation from the ground up.
Your generous donation is directly transmitted to Migdal Ohr in Israel to benefit the children in our programs.
Specifically, your donation covers the cost of providing children at Migdal Ohr with essentials such as clothing, food, and shelter, empowerment through education, vocational training, and after school programming, and engaged citizenship via leadership and on-going mentorship as they get older.
